Regina Sinclaire meets her husband Jim for lunch and surprises him with the news that she is expecting their first child. To celebrate, Regina stops at a local market to buy some sparkling cider. Unbeknownst to her, a robbery is in progress. When Regina walks in, she startles one of the robbers and he shoots her, killing her instantly. This event would lead Jim Sinclaire to seek revenge and become the warlock known as Lord Sin.
